No, I do not code websites, but I make sure they are coded properly. All of the websites I worked on have a friendly SEO CMS (Content Management System). If I had to manage website projects, I made sure that before anything, they have an easy to use CMS.

I am not an “abstract” “by theory” SEO. I am a hands-on twicker. I began experimenting with websites back in the days, remember the first .com era? I was there.

My first projects served me to understand how algorithms work, no, I did not read manuals on how algorithms supposed to work, I did the websites and tested everything.

Remember school? Logic was one of the few classes I did really good:-), and I think I felt in to search engine optimization because I have a passion for logic, really a passion for puzzles. I can figure them out:-) and to me SEO/SEM is all about logic.

I made mistake, but I learned from them. As opposed to reading what the title tag was, I noticed where it was showing up - please do not judge me, this was a long time ago, probably you did not even know where the title tag showed up on listing if you were not an HTML coder, so shish.

I stayed up till long hours of the night (while always working full time) working on my projects - and I started to understand more and more and the results came along.

I have now under my belt more than 8 years of experience - I think I did not go one day without working on my website projects. Simply, I love what I do.

PERSONAL STUFF

At the age of 19 I packed my bags (I remember my mother crying when my parents were taking me to the airport) and decided to move to the States. Well, at the age of 19 I really did not know exactly that I was going to stay forever, but as soon as I arrived to SF I never questioned myself again; this was definitely the place I was supposed to live in my 20s.

I was so lucky to be able to be exposed to so much creativity. I went to school, at the beginning I lived with Vicky, a woman in her 50s who came from China. Vicky had a huge house in the Sunset Area and I rented one of her rooms for 2 1/2 years. So it was me and Vicky. By the way, Vicky owned a Mexican restaurant! and had 4 daughters who came to the house to visit on the weekends.

I went to school and boy I was a minority - 40% Asians, 30% Caucasians, 10% Russian, and then everyone else. I was an amazing experience for me. I have a passion for the Asian culture. I do not know exactly what it is…

Okay this post is getting too long, I’ll finish quick - years later I moved to South Florida in 02′ despite my girlfriend telling me not to do it. But I did it and here I am, happy - palm trees, warm weather, flip flops and blue sky all year is hard to find.
